Mrs. Oluwatoyin Falade has approached the Orile Agege Customary Court seeking the dissolution of her 11-year marriage.
She cited infidelity as the reason for her plea against her husband, Segun. Mrs. Falade, who resides in Agege, Lagos, has two children with Segun, aged eight and 11.
“My husband is a flirt, he runs after anything in a skirt. I had two girls before I married him, ages 15 and 18.
“They stay with me and I don’t trust my husband because he chases everything in a skirt,” NAN quoted.
During the proceedings, Oluwatoyin expressed her husband’s lack of respect for her and alleged that he frequently engages in relationships with other women.
She mentioned that the situation has led to mockery from neighbors.
Segun, a judiciary worker, admitted to the infidelity and bringing different women to their home. Despite this, he pleaded with the court not to dissolve the marriage and promised to rectify his behavior given another chance.
The Court President, Adewale Adegoke, advised both parties to maintain peace and adjourned the case until May 30 for alternative dispute resolution.
